- Monitor and evaluate service deliver and operations of line Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the Province to ensure that their operations are in line with their respective Ministries’ Strategic Plans and National Development imperatives and aspirations
- Facilitate and coordinate the activities of various Ministries and organs of the central government in implementing development plans prepared by the Provincial Development Committee and the Provincial Councils
- Facilitate and coordinate Provincial Development Committee meetings
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of capacity building programmes and other related programmes for Provincial Development Committee and MDAs so as to enhance their effectiveness in the service delivery and sustainable socio- economic growth for the Province and Districts
- Develop and manage mechanisms to promote effective stakeholder mapping and build engagement and going momentum in support of inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth, service delivery and livelihoods in the Province and their districts
- Provide effective administrative and management support to the Office of the Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in the discharge of its mandate, including any delegated national duties, state functions and ceremonies in the Province
- Work closely and in collaboration with the Director, Economic Affairs and Investment so as to create seamless coordination in order to spur economic growth and transformation of the Province and Districts
- Monitor and implementation of projects and programmes by donors, Non-Governmental Organisation and the Private Sector in the Province.
- Coordinate the formulation, planning, implementation and evaluation of development Programmes in the Province.
- Superintend over the formulation and implementation of Provincial Economic Development
- Plans, Programmes and Projects;
- Promote and facilitate local and foreign investment in close partnership the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA);
- Coordinate the formulation and implementation of marketing, business and investment attraction strategies for the province;
- Superintend over the formulation of strategies to aid Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in the province;
- Facilitate stakeholder Economic Development negotiations for the province and the provision of advice to Provincial Development Councils;
- Facilitate the maintenance of an integrated database on economic development and economic programmes and projects in the province.
- Coordinate the mobilisation of resources and the development of budgets and funding strategies for Economic Development and economic empowerment programmes in the Province.
- Facilitate the sufficient technical input into the procurement of equipment, services and materials for economic development and economic empowerment programmes in the province.
- Coordinate infrastructure planning and development in the Province.
- Coordinate formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation policies and programmes in the construction and maintenance of the built environment.
- Superintend over implementation of appropriate urban infrastructure development policies and programmes in the Province.
- Recommend appropriate urban infrastructure policies and programmes for the development of urban centres in the Province
- Superintend over development of urban infrastructure sector strategies for urban infrastructure development in consultation with relevant MDAs and other organisations.
- Preside over infrastructure, planning and development policy dialogues in the Province.
- Coordinate urban community designs, policies, plans, guidelines and written reports related to road improvements, landscape improvements, commercial development, residential development and integrated community design in the Province.
- Coordinate conduct of research programmes designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness, access to urban infrastructure and public transport services for urban areas in the Province.
- Assist Management in coming up with management internal controls
- Place audit assurance on the office financial statements and accounting records
